DFI was founded in 2008 as an extension of the successful programs of the INMA foundation, a Lebanese organization that has worked for over 20 years in faith-based relief and development in war-torn Lebanon. DFI strives to expand this model internationally to other communities of conflict and poverty. DFI was registered as a non-profit organization in the United States in 2008, creating a solid link between its projects overseas and friends in the U.S. DFI partners with volunteers and donors from the four corners of the earth to support and develop its multi-faceted programs.
